Why Shuvah Israel Camp?

 

As we are all well aware, there is always a gap between the end of school and the beginning of camp and from the end of the camp to the beginning of the school. 

During that time, many kids & teens can be found hanging around with nothing to do. 

This is not a good situation.  Boys hanging around can get into trouble, or get involved with the wrong people.  It's much better for everyone if they have structure in their lives.   This keeps them safe and gives the parents less worry.

One of the benefits of our camp is that it begins the day after school ends and ends right before school starts.  Therefore, there is no gap, and no time for the boys to hang around.  We offer learning time, as well as many fun activities.  

Apart from all this, our camp is a full day.  Again, no time to waste doing nothing!  The boys are occupied the entire day and come home happy!  So much so that in our second year the boys took it upon themselves to set up the programming.  They were so excited about having this activity in the summer, that they wanted to organize it themselves.  Of course, everything is done with the supervision and approval of the Rabbi. The boys look forward to next summer when they can spend time together learning, playing, and having a good time.
